WHY DOES THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC REQUIRE A SECOND ADVANCE REPORT NATIONAL HYDROCARBON DATABASE?
Despite the availability of valuable information collected over the last 50 years, this information was scattered and overlooked in the hands of the State and private institutions where they were not readily accessible, organized or digitized. They were not in any standard format used by the oil industry which could enable their use by state-of-the-art oil systems modelling and fluid flow simulation. Knowing, thus, that the Dominican Republic has potential oil and gas resources, whose magnitude has never been determined, the BNDH brings together and consolidates all this information that will allow the Dominican State and investors to link and reinterpret them with cutting-edge technology, in a manner that investments can be attracted to the country in the area of hydrocarbons and, finally, to determine, once and for all, the potential of hydrocarbons in the Dominican Republic.
